“All I Have To Offer”

I have no fancy house just a simple place called home
The car that’s in the drive is merely on loan.
My cupboard is almost empty, just enough for two
The power company called, the payment is past due.

Things around seem bleak, so dark, so all alone
Today is almost over and tomorrow is so unknown.
I want more from this life, this can’t be the end
All I need right now is for my heart to mend.

Lord, I’m not sure but I don’t think that we have met
I’m not the kind of person you would call an asset.
I have nothing to give, no money, no property
All I have to offer you is simply me.

I bring with me the scars, the heartache and the pain|
Feels like no one wants me with these ugly stains.|
So, I ask you Lord, to set my heart free|
For all I have to offer you is simply me.
