In this crazy, mixed up world, peace and joy are rare.
Born from cold and empty hearts, treacherous souls are bare.
Many are seeking to fill the hole that was created by sin.
Looking to worldly answers and uplifting evil men.
In the shadow of the cross, peace and joy abound.
Every soul is welcome and that’s where Jesus is found.
Come and rest in the shade, cool your aching soul.
Let the peace of the cross ease your earthly toll.
Cease the search for contentment, confide in the Father above.
Hand Him all your burdens and your sins be rid of.
