Came to this world so meek and mild
Born to Mary, her first child.
Grew up as a carpenter’s son
Earthly possessions He had none.
Taught the elders before his teens
Didn’t bow before Kings and Queens.
Called twelve to follow Him
Even when times were dim.
Shared the truth over many miles
Performed miracles and suffered trials.
Many believed but some did not
They thought Heaven could be bought.
Evil seemed to win that day
When they came to take Him away.
He must suffer on the cross
For the ones who are lost.
Blood was shed, life released
For each sinner, the very least.
In three days, death is defeated
God’s perfect plan is completed.
Go to the world meek and mild
Have the faith of a child.
Use your gifts and talents well
To mankind His story to tell.
Worship only the Heavenly King
To His promises always cling.
Follow Him wherever He leads
Helping to fill the people’s needs.
Share the truth as you wander
And He will meet you over yonder.
